Membership terms

Before launch: review these terms with your attorney, and confirm the refund policy in section 5 matches how you'll operate.

1. What membership includes

Membership costs $25 per year. It includes saving representatives and records, member analysis computed from public records, district comparisons, and an optional weekly email summary.

Membership never unlocks the underlying public records — those are free for everyone — and it never affects how any representative is shown.

2. Billing

You're charged $25 when you join, through Stripe. The monthly and daily figures we show ($2.08 a month, about 7¢ a day) are comparisons only. There is no monthly or daily billing.

3. Automatic renewal

Membership renews automatically each year on the date you joined, at $25. We'll email a reminder at least 7 days before each renewal. If the price ever changes, we'll tell you at least 30 days before your renewal, and you can cancel before it takes effect.

4. Canceling

Cancel anytime from your account ("Manage billing or cancel"). You keep membership until the end of the year you've paid for and won't be charged again.

5. Refunds

If you contact us within 30 days of a charge, we'll refund it in full. After that, membership continues until the end of the paid year.

6. When membership ends

Free features keep working. Your saved items stay in your account, read-only, for 365 days so you can pick up where you left off if you rejoin. After that they're deleted. You can download or delete them at any time.

7. Independence

We don't accept payment from members or anyone else to change a promise status, summary, ranking, or how any official is presented.
