What we collect, why, and what we never do with it.
Without an account
You can use every free feature without an account.
- ZIP code lookups happen in your browser using files on our server. We don't record which ZIP code you entered.
- Street-address lookups are sent to the U.S. Census Bureau's geocoder to find your district. We don't store or log the address.
- Server logs record standard technical information (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and are deleted after 30 days.
- We don't use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
With a membership
To run your account we keep:
- Your email address and a securely hashed password.
- Your membership status and renewal date. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card number.
- The items you choose to save.
- Your home district, only if you choose to add it, for "What this means for you."
- Whether you've turned on the weekly email summary.
What we never do
We never sell, rent or share your information, your saved items, or anything about your political interests with advertisers, campaigns, parties or data brokers. We don't infer or record anyone's political views.
Your choices
- Download your data anytime from your account.
- Delete your account anytime from your account. This permanently removes your saved items and stops future charges.
- After a membership ends, saved items are kept for 365 days in case you return, then deleted.
- Unsubscribe from the weekly email with one click.
